I have searched sxc.hu and openclipart.org for some images i can use for a logo.

I am going to use the image of a fist and trace it then use that as a logo.

I found out last week i had to create blogs for this semester as well. Because i missed first class i didnt realise we had to do them and i also never recieved a unit outline for me to refer to.

I am at the process of making the logo and uploading the small images and logos of VU and VIC police.

Its going good so far but i am concerned that i wont finish on time. I am aiming at working in my own time too so i can finish everything by week 14.

Today we finally met up with the other students for filming vox pops for the dvd. It was really good and i got a pretty good inisght on the DVD and what to expect from it. I realised there are a lot of people in footscray who have wittnessed violence or assault and didnt realise the suburb was like that.

In class, i edited my web pages and added purple into the pages. I also used a slice from an image Luke gave me which looks like graffiti and hidden allyways, as a top image for the webpage.

I downloaded a few fonts to use and we decided on a pretty cool font that suits the theme of the page.

Luke also made a rough copy of one page to send to the VIC police to get their response and it looks awsome.

I am now realising i have a lot of work to do still with uploading all the small images to send an email, share it, VU logo, VIC police logo etc

I was meant to meet Kale and Trevor today to help them with filming at Footsray train station but because of weather conditions it was cancelled. This was for the special project but i was hoping to go and get an idea of what the DVD was about so i can add a bit more on detail into my webpage based on the DVD.

I made some more pages today (subjects, about, preview of DVD)

I am continuing my webpage at the moment in fireworks and later will ask for help on how to create hyperlinks and to get the links active.

I am nt stressing at the moment, hope it keeps going well..

Other students in class told me that i have to rename each slice i do with a .btn at the end of the name.

I went through each page and each slice and renamed them.

I had to reorder some of the things on the pages because they wern’t fitting in.

Overall, i am going at a slow but steady pace

I am now feeling more on track with everything after getting some help from other students in class about how to slice images and what they are used for as i was unclear about it. The video on digitalmedabb.com/acm1008 ony showed after the point where images were already sliced because there was an error with the video.

i drew up a plan of what the links are going to be named and what links i will include and what i wont because i keep changing my mind.

This week i continued working on my websites pages and creating new ones. I asked luke if i should include a guestbook or a feedback page and he said it was ok but not necessary so i decided to leave it out.

I am continuing to make a new page for each link and slicing the relevant areas to insert images in them.

This week i started taking notes about how my prject will be. I know i have to do the following to begin with:

- put lesson plans from special project

-assignments

-activities

-link to VELS

I think on the main page i will include the following links:

The only problem i have now is how i will construct all the sublinks and pages and how my lesson plans will be done. I also dont know what the colour theme is, any details about the DVD because i havent actually watched it or seen any previews of it so i feel like i am left in the deep end.

Ive asked luke to help me. Hes suggested for me to use fireworks CS4 to do the structure of the site, which i havent used before and i feel stressed about it. HEs given me this site to get help: digitalmediabb.com/acm1008 and i went onto workshop 9 like he told me to but i couldnt get much help because the video didnt work.

Therefore, for the moment i am just going to make a very basic structure of the site without any images or anything.

Today was my first day in class.

I spoke to Luke about my project and he seemed as worried as i was about not being able to interview the pilots because of their presence in Australia. I had stated in my proposal that the presence of the pilots for filming was going to be a problem and it actually did end up being one.

Luke suggested i do a webpage on the DVD they are doing for the special project. On the website i need to have resources and lesson plans online.

It is a big relief now that i know what i am doing and my project can go ahead but with different content.

I was overseas for this class so i missed it…while i was overseas i was worried about how my project will be because one of the pilots moved overseas recently and the other pilot cant come to Australia for another few weeks.
